The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Dynamo-NPU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Dynamo-NPU smashed 3rd placed Frankivsk in Kyiv 84-64. The game without a history. Dynamo-NPU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Dynamo-NPU forced 19 Frankivsk turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Andreona Keys (178-95, college: Purdue) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Viktoriya Kasatkina (187-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Keys is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and the former international center Miriam Uro-Nile (188-94, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Frankivsk's coach Yuriy Protsuk rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dynamo-NPU (25-3) have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Frankivsk keeps the third place with ten games lost. Frankivsk will play next round against SBK Lviv trying to get back on the winning streak. Dynamo-NPU will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Kozachka-KPU in Zaporozhye.
