Regular Season Round 27: Tofas - Besiktas 69-65

There was no surprise in Bursa where 5th ranked Besiktas (11-15) was defeated by third ranked Tofas (13-12) 69-65 on Wednesday. Tofas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Berkan Aksu (203-1) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Omer Yavas (203-1) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Ege Sun (-0) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and guard Can Turgut (198-0) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tofas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-12 record having eleven points less than leader Fenerbahce. Besiktas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. Tofas will face league's leader Banvit on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Besiktas will play against Turk Telekom (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
