Regular Season Round 27: Oberhaching - Schwabing 102-73

Regionalliga top team - Oberhaching (19-4) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Schwabing (12-10) in Deisenhofen 102-73. They outrebounded Schwabing 41-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: Mont.St.-Billings) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Jakob Stolte (192-0) contributed with 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Oberhaching players scored in double figures. Oberhaching had such big advantage that coach Mario Matic felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naturalized British point guard Justin Hedley (191-96) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St.) added 11 points and 6 assists in the effort for Schwabing. Oberhaching maintains first place in South-East with 19-4 record. Loser Schwabing keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Oberhaching will face Herzogenaurach (#5) at home in the next round. Schwabing will play against TSV Troester and hope to win that game.
