Second Stage Round 4: Hoverla - Zolotoi Vek 91-78

Third defeat of league's leader Zolotoi Vek (3-3) against fourth ranked Hoverla (3-3) 91-78 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Zolotoi Vek was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 22-7 charge of Hoverla, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Zolotoi Vek to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Hoverla had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Hoverla looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Denys Koshovets (202-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Andriy Kalashnikov (175-89) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Five Hoverla players scored in double figures. Hoverla's coach Pavel Piskarev used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Mikita Miz (191-90) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and forward Olexandr Drobiazko (200-93) added 25 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Zolotoi Vek. Hoverla moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Zolotoi Vek. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
