Regular Season Round 27: TSV Troester - Bamberg 75-58

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked TSV Troester (16-8) defeated 8th ranked Bamberg (11-13) in Breitenguessbach 75-58 on Saturday. Bamberg was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for swingman Sven Lorber (187-97) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Center Erik Land (205-90) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. TSV Troester's coach Johannes Laub used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Swingman Christoph Dippold (191-94) answered with 18 points and American power forward Robert Ferguson (203-85, college: St.Joseph's) added 7 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Bamberg. TSV Troester moved-up to third place in South-East, which they share with Treuchtlingen. Bamberg lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. TSV Troester will face Schwabing (#6) on the road in the next round. Bamberg will play against Muenchen OSB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
