Regular Season Round 25: Karesi Spor - OGM Orman 72-76

An interesting game for OGM Orman (18-7) which played road game in Karesi against 4th placed Karesi Spor (16-9). Second ranked OGM Orman managed to get a 4-point victory 76-72. OGM Orman players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Karesi Spor was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and forward Sahin Ekmen (203-89) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side American point guard Carlos Medlock (183-87, college: E.Michigan) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import center Gene Teague (206-89, college: Seton Hall) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five Karesi Spor players scored in double figures. Karesi Spor's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. OGM Orman maintains second place with 18-7 record having four points less than leader Bursaspor. Karesi Spor at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. OGM Orman will play against Sigortam.net ITU (#7) in Istanbul in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Karesi Spor will play on the road against Edirne and hopes to get back on the winning track.
