The most exciting game of round 26 in the BBL took place in Bamberg. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Brose Baskets (18-6) to fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (17-5) 69-66 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Brose Baskets. Cameroonian center Landry Nnoko (208-94, college: Clemson) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Peyton Siva (183-90, college: Louisville) contributed with 9 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American power forward Cliff Alexander (206-95, college: Kansas) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American-Georgian Ricky Hickman (189-85, college: UNCG) added 12 points in the effort for Brose Baskets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ALBA Berlin maintains fifth position with 17-5 record. Brose Baskets at the other side keep the fourth place with six games lost. ALBA Berlin are looking forward to face Crailsheim Merlins (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Brose Baskets will play against Telekom Baskets (#6) in Bonn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
