Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Stuttgart and 9th ranked Mannheim had identical 9-15 record. This time Stuttgart used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Mannheim 91-67 on Sunday night. Stuttgart dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Mannheim's 26. Stuttgart forced 26 Mannheim turnovers. Stuttgart will face league's leader Speyer on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mannheim will play against Saarlouis/Dillingen (#4) and hope to win that game.
