Regular Season Round 23: Galatasaray - Darussafaka 64-80

We should mention about the upset which took place in Istanbul, where higher ranked Galatasaray (12-9) lost at home to tenth ranked Darussafaka (10-12) 64-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Galatasaray. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian center Micheal Eric (210-88, college: Temple) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Toney Douglas (188-86, college: FSU) accounted for 12 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Darussafaka players scored in double figures. American Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky) came up with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Galatasaray in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Darussafaka moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Galatasaray at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Besiktas.
