We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Turk Telekom (10-16) beat 5th ranked Besiktas (11-16) in Istanbul 93-89 on Wednesday. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Besiktas was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Burak Gozeneli (-0) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Yigit Ozkan (-1) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Guard Can Turgut (198-0) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Bilgehan Diril (-1) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Besiktas. Five Besiktas players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Gelisim Koleji. Besiktas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Turk Telekom's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena TED Ankara.
