Rather expected game when 12th ranked Giessen 46ers (11-16) were defeated on the road by tenth ranked Braunschweig (13-13) 105-101 on Friday. Braunschweig made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-89, college: Fort Lewis, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists. Four Braunschweig players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center John Bryant (211-87, college: Santa Clara) with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard David Bell (185-81, college: Montana) scored 19 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Braunschweig moved-up to ninth place. Giessen 46ers lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Braunschweig will face league's leader Bayern Muenchen on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
