There was an upset when higher ranked Rendsburg (15-12) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Cuxhaven (11-15) 85-80 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jordan Rezendes (188-92, college: Mass.-Dartmouth) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Nii Bergmann (188-98) who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Henning Rixen (196-99) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American forward Pierce Cumpstone (203-94, college: Stonehill) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Rendsburg players scored in double figures. Rendsburg's coach Bjarne Homfeldt tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Cuxhaven maintains twelfth position in North with 11-15 record. Loser Rendsburg keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost.
