We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Ibbenbueren (11-15) was edged on the road by tenth ranked Leverkusen FB (8-17) 94-93 on Saturday. Leverkusen FB looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Ibbenbueren was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Christian Froehlingsdorf (210-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Marc Ra who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Leverkusen FB players scored in double figures. Leverkusen FB's coach Thomas Pimperl used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
