Regular Season Round 28: Oberhaching - Herzogenaurach 90-86

Date: April 7, 2019
No shocking result in a game in Deisenhofen where first ranked Oberhaching (20-4) won against 5th ranked Herzogenaurach (13-11) 90-86 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Oberhaching made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Oberhaching outrebounded Herzogenaurach 48-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Czech point guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Christian Hustert (192-94) who added 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Boyer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Ben Gahlert (203-0) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Four Oberhaching and five Herzogenaurach players scored in double figures. Oberhaching have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South-East with 20-4 record. Loser Herzogenaurach keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Oberhaching will face league's second-placed TSV Troester in Breitenguessbach in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Herzogenaurach will play at home against Rosenheim and hope to win that game.
