Leading Sibiu (18-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Cluj Napoca (17-7) 78-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sibiu. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sibiu won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Sibiu 38-27 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-87, college: Dakota Wesleyan) supported him with 18 points and 4 assists. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 5 assists by American-German forward Isaiah Philmore (203-89, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for Sibiu. American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman, agency: Court Side) added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cluj Napoca maintains second position with 17-7 record having just seven point less than leader Targu Mures. Sibiu at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost.
