There was no surprise in Bursa where 5th ranked Gaziantep (14-10) was defeated by third ranked Tofas (17-8) 77-67. Gaziantep was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Baris Ermis (194-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Cameroonian forward Kenny Kadji (211-88, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. American Shaquielle McKissic (196-90, college: ASU) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Muhammed Senli (205-92) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Gaziantep's coach Nenad Markovic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tofas maintains third position with 17-8 record having three points less than leader Fenerbahce. Gaziantep at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Turk Telekom. Tofas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gaziantep will play at home against Pinar Karsiyaka (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
