We should mention about the upset which took place in Ankara, where higher ranked Manisa (13-14) lost to fourteenth ranked Ankara D.S.I. (8-19) in a road game 72-79. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Joshua Heath (180-94, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners and scored 31 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-97) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Ankara D.S.I.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Derrick Marks (190-93, college: Boise St.) came up with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import center Devin Searcy (208-89, college: Dayton) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Manisa in the defeat. Ankara D.S.I. maintains fourteenth place with 8-19 record. Manisa lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 14 games lost. Ankara D.S.I.'s next round opponent will be league's leader Bursaspor on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
