There was a small surprise when sixteenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (7-20) beat on the road 14th ranked BG Goettingen (8-19) 92-78. Mitteldeutscher BC players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by Serbian point guard Jovan Novak (188-94, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 12 points and 9 assists and naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: WKU) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 8 assists by American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) did not help to save the game for BG Goettingen. His fellow American import Darius Carter (201-92, college: Wichita St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
