Second Stage Round 7: Rivne - KDPU 69-73

The game between third ranked Rivne-OSHVSM (14-6) and fourth ranked KDPU (9-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Rivne-OSHVSM was defeated by KDPU in a tough game in Rivne 69-73. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Artem Vodolaztcky (197-92) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Yevgeniy Sergeichik (-94) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four KDPU players scored in double figures. Illia Niemtsu (201-98, college: Vincennes Univ., agency: Dynamics Global Management) answered with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Dmitro Timoshuk (189-95) added 13 points and 4 steals in the effort for Rivne-OSHVSM. Rivne-OSHVSM's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted KDPU maintains fourth place with 9-11 record. Rivne-OSHVSM lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with six games lost. KDPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rivne-OSHVSM will play again at home against KDPU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
