Semi-Finals Game 1: Sopron Basket - ZTE NKK 72-37

Sopron Basket thumped ZTE NKK to take the lead in the semifinal series. Sopron Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to ZTE NKK's 18. They outrebounded ZTE NKK 40-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. Sopron Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by ZTE NKK's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Candice Dupree (188-84, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds. Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Sopron Basket's coach Roberto Iniguez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Greek Evanthia Maltsi (180-78) answered with 11 points and American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) added 4 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for ZTE NKK.
