Higher League top team - Prometey (20-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Lutsk Univ. (3-19) 88-47. The game was mostly controlled by Prometey. Lutsk Univ. managed to win second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lutsk Univ. to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Prometey dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Lutsk Univ.'s 26. Prometey forced 19 Lutsk Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 40-17 including a 30-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Maks-Adam Konate (202-91) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Igor Krivtsov (201-86) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Prometey players scored in double figures. Forward Dmitry Shvahrynskyy (197-89) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Volodymyr Kotsko (190-97) added 7 points in the effort for Lutsk Univ.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Prometey maintains first position with 20-2 record. Lutsk Univ. lost third consecutive game. Lutsk Univ. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 19 games lost. Prometey are looking forward to face Khimik-2 (#4) in Yuzhny in the next round. Lutsk Univ. will play on the road against KDPU (#5) in Kryvyi Rih and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
