Finals Game 2: Keravnos - AEK Larnaca 89-81

Date: April 23, 2019
Keravnos topped AEK Larnaca to even the championship series at 1-1. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-9. But AEK Larnaca won second period 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Keravnos won last quarter 29-22. 28 personal fouls committed by AEK Larnaca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Somalian forward Mohamed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 17 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Keravnos' coach Christoforos Livadiotis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88, agency: 011 Sports) responded with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Belarusian-Russian forward Vladimir Veremeenko (208-84) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds.
