BSL top team - Fenerbahce (22-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat ninth ranked Darussafaka (11-15) in Istanbul 87-72. Fenerbahce made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Darussafaka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 10 rebounds and Italian forward Luigi Datome (203-87) who added 14 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jeremy Evans (206-87, college: WKU) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import Markel Brown (191-92, college: Oklahoma St.) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-3 record. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the ninth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Bahcesehir and Pinar Karsiyaka. Fenerbahce are looking forward to face Banvit (#8) in Balikesir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Darussafaka will play on the road against Turk Telekom in Ankara and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
