Regular Season Round 35: Rytas - Prienu Skycop 84-57

The game with biggest result difference took place in Vilnius. Local Rytas (25-9) outscored 7th ranked Prienu Skycop (12-22) 84-57. It looked good early as Prienu Skycop took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rytas had a 24-11 second period charge getting the lead and Prienu Skycop was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-84. Rytas dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Prienu Skycop's 20. They outrebounded Prienu Skycop 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (212-87, college: Radford) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Rytas' coach Dainius Adomaitis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) came up with 15 points and the former international center Ksistof Lavrinovic (209-79) added 12 points respectively for Prienu Skycop in the defeat. Rytas maintains third place with 25-9 record having two points less than leader Zalgiris. Prienu Skycop at the other side keeps the seventh position with 22 games lost. Rytas' next round opponent will be league's leader Zalgiris in Kaunas and it will be for sure the game of the week. Prienu Skycop will play at home against Lietkabelis (#4) and hope to win that game.
