Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked s Oliver Baskets (17-16) beat on the road 12th ranked BBC Bayreuth (14-19) 99-84 on Tuesday. s Oliver Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Australian swingman Xavier Cooks (203-95, college: Winthrop) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Eric Mika (208-95, college: BYU) with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) scored 19 points. Five s Oliver Baskets and four BBC Bayreuth players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. s Oliver Baskets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Telekom Bsk. BBC Bayreuth lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 19 games lost. s Oliver Baskets will face higher ranked Brose Baskets (#5) in Bamberg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
