Regular Season Round 30: Galatasaray - Gaziantep 70-66

Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Galatasaray and 5th ranked Gaziantep had identical 17-10 record. This time Galatasaray used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Gaziantep 70-66 on Sunday night. It was a good game for Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Nigel Hayes (203-94, college: Wisconsin) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) replied with 27 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) and Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gaziantep. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Galatasaray (18-10) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Tofas. Loser Gaziantep keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost.
