Regular Season Round 1: Hannover - Wasserburg 57-70

An interesting game took place in Hannover where Hannover (0-1) was upset on its own court by TSV 1880 Wasserburg (1-0) 70-57. TSV 1880 Wasserburg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Hannover's 28. They outrebounded Hannover 41-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kelly Moten (173-93, college: Emporia St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Brittany Hodges (185-93, college: Furman) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Estonian Janne Pulk (172-0) answered with 14 points and naturalized Canadian forward Tessa Stammberger (180-93, college: Dalhousie) added 12 points in the effort for Hannover. Hannover's coach Tatiana Gallova rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TSV 1880 Wasserburg's next round opponent will be SV Halle Lions (#7) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Hannover will play against Osnabrueck SC and hope to win that game.
