An interesting game was played in Leverkusen where Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#3) beat host Bayer Giants (#2) 74-63 on Saturday evening. American guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade) stepped up and scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Kasey Hill (185-93, college: Florida) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. At the losing side American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist) responded with 11 points and center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Bayer Giants' coach Hansi Gnad rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will meet at home BV Villingen-Schwenningen (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bayer Giants will play against Chemnitz and hope to win that game.
