Regular Season Round 4: Bad Aibling - Ansbach 73-93

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Ansbach (4-2) outplayed on the road 12th ranked Bad Aibling (1-5) 93-73 on Thursday. Ansbach dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bad Aibling's 22 and made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Ansbach forced 21 Bad Aibling turnovers and had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bad Aibling was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard TyLik Evans (173-96, college: USC Aiken) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (made all of his sixteen free throws !!!). Guard Christian Imberi (193-82, college: Jamestown) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Simon Bradaric replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and guard Marco Hack-Vazquez (191-96) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bad Aibling. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bad Aibling's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ansbach moved-up to third place in South-East, which they share with Regnitztal and Jena II. Loser Bad Aibling keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. Ansbach will face Vilsbiburg (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Bad Aibling will play against Herzogenaurach (#9) and hope to win that game.
