Regular Season Round 4: Aschersleben - Bramsche TuS 81-65

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Aschersleben as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Aschersleben defeated 11th ranked Bramsche TuS at home 81-65. Worth to mention a great performance of Romanian point guard Sebastian Ionescu (185-97) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Aschersleben players scored in double figures. Croatian power forward Sasha Cuic (208-83, college: Oregon St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and Irish guard Adrian OSullivan (180-93) added 13 points in the effort for Bramsche TuS. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Neustadt TSV and Eimsbuetteler. Bramsche TuS lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Wusterhausen. Bramsche TuS will play next round against Stade trying to get back on the winning streak. Aschersleben will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Wolmirstedt at home.
