Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Ansbach (4-2) outplayed at home 8th ranked FC Bayern III (3-2) 102-65 on Saturday. Ansbach shot 63.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Ansbach looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by FC Bayern III's players. Quite impressive performance for forward David Kurpiela (195-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard TyLik Evans (173-96, college: USC Aiken) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Ansbach players scored in double figures. Darian Djukic replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Sierra Leonean center Mohamed Sillah (204-2) added 2 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for FC Bayern III. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ansbach moved-up to third place in South-East, which they share with Regnitztal and Jena II. Newly promoted FC Bayern III dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Ansbach will face Vilsbiburg (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. FC Bayern III will play against Regnitztal and hope to win that game.
