Regular Season Round 4: Wolmirstedt - Bergedorf 82-81

A very interesting game took place in Wolmirstedt. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Bergedorf (1-3) to first ranked Wolmirstedt (3-1) 82-81 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) fired 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Croatian guard Tomislav Gabric (198-91, college: Ft.Hays State) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Joscha Kolnisko (200-90) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Florian Bunde (194-86) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Five Bergedorf players scored in double figures. Wolmirstedt have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Wolmirstedt went down to fourth position (North) due to points difference, which they share with Goetting.ASC. Bergedorf lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Wolmirstedt's next round opponent will be league's leader Aschersleben on the road and it may be the game of the week. Bergedorf will play against Weser Baskets (#13) and hope to win that game.
