Regular Season Round 4: Bramsche TuS - Neustadt TSV 72-91

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Bramsche TuS (2-3) was outleveled at home by fourth ranked Neustadt TSV (4-1) 91-72 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV forced 23 Bramsche TuS turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American-Jamaican center Brandon McLean (201-95, college: Huntingdon) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Abdulai Abaker (186-96) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Irish guard Adrian OSullivan (180-93) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Congolese forward Blanchard Obiango (202-88) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Bramsche TuS. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Neustadt TSV have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with Aschersleben and Eimsbuetteler. Bramsche TuS lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Neustadt TSV will face Langenhagen (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Bramsche TuS will play against Stade and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
