Rather predictable result in Afyonkarahisar where Turk Telekom (2-0) defeated Afyon Bld (0-2) 82-78. They outrebounded Afyon Bld 41-23 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. French center Moustapha Fall (218-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American guard Nick Johnson (191-92, college: Arizona) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Slovenian Gregor Hrovat (196-94) replied with 18 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American point guard Corey Davis (185, college: Houston) added 20 points in the effort for Afyon Bld. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be Fenerbahce (#3) in Istanbul, which may be the game of the day. Afyon Bld will play on the road against Acibadem (#14) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
