Regular Season Round 4: Weser Baskets - Wusterhausen 73-88

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked WSG Koenigs (2-3) beat bottom-ranked Weser Baskets (0-5) in Neustadt 88-73 on Sunday. WSG Koenigs made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Weser Baskets turnovers. It was a very good performance for Maxim Rix (200-96) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Nico Adamczak (191-90) contributed with 20 points and 5 steals for the winners. WSG Koenigs' coach Michael Opitz used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Jerry Ndhine (197-2) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and forward Lukas Koehler (196-96) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Weser Baskets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory WSG Koenigs went down to eighth position (North) due to points difference, which they share with Bramsche TuS. Newly promoted Weser Baskets still closes the standings with five games lost. WSG Koenigs will face higher ranked Goetting.ASC (#4) in Goettingen in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Weser Baskets will play at home against the league's second-placed ETV (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
