Regular Season Round 4: Chemnitz - Schwenningen 86-81

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (1-3) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Chemnitz (3-1) 86-81 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Chemnitz forced 19 BV Villingen-Schwenningen turnovers. Strangely BV Villingen-Schwenningen outrebounded Chemnitz 34-21 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Chris Carter (195-92, college: Florida Tech) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists and guard Terrell Harris (191-93, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Players Group) who added 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Chemnitz players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Rasheed Moore (196-95, college: E.Stroudsburg) responded with 19 points and guard David Dennis (185-97, college: Nova SE) scored 9 points and 11 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chemnitz moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tuebingen and Nuernberg. BV Villingen-Schwenningen lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with three games lost. Chemnitz will face Schalke (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will play against Uni Baskets in Paderborn and hope to win that game.
