Regular Season Round 4: Mustangs - Nord Dragonz 67-57

Bottom-ranked Nord Dragonz (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 67-57 loss to top-ranked Mustangs (4-0) in Mistelbach. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. It looked good early as Nord Dragonz took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. Then Mustangs had a 18-13 second period charge getting the lead and Nord Dragonz was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-67. They outrebounded Nord Dragonz 56-38 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech swingman Michal Jedovnicky (194-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds. Czech forward Jakub Krakovic (205-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Croatian forward Filip Mileta (197-96, agency: Mansfield and Associates) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) added 6 points, 8 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Nord Dragonz. Mustangs have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Lions. Newly promoted Nord Dragonz still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Deutsch-Wagram. Mustangs will play against league's leader Lions in Dornbirn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nord Dragonz will play on the road against KOS (#7) in Celovec and hopes to get finally their first victory.
