Regular Season Round 4: BBU Salzburg - Deutsch-Wagram 84-68

Date: October 12, 2019
Bottom-ranked Deutsch-Wagram (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-68 loss to seventh ranked BBU (2-2) in Salzburg on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by BBU. Deutsch-Wagram managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek guard Dimitris Mouratoglou (197-84) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Slovenian forward Luka Milovac (192-94) who added 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four BBU players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Simon Marek (180-1) responded with 23 points and point guard Lukas Hofer (182-92) scored 12 points. Deutsch-Wagram's coach Hannes Quirgst rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. BBU moved-up to fifth place, which they share with KOS and Rocks. Newly promoted Deutsch-Wagram still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Nord Dragonz. BBU will again meet Deutsch-Wagram (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Deutsch-Wagram will have a break next round.
