Regular Season Round 5: Schwabing - Rosenheim 92-70

Date: October 12, 2019
Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Schwabing (1-3) outscored at home 14th ranked Rosenheim (1-5) 92-70 on Saturday. Schwabing dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Rosenheim's 28. Schwabing forced 21 Rosenheim turnovers and outrebounded them 33-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. Spanish guard Daniel Perez (187-1) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Tristan Da-Silva (202-1) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Schwabing players scored in double figures. American point guard Jguwon Hogges (173-86, college: Oregon Tech) responded with 31 points and 4 steals and guard Bastian Marz (186-1) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Schwabing went down to eleventh position (South-East) due to points difference. It was Rosenheim's third loss in a row. They dropped to the twelfth place with five games lost. Schwabing will face higher ranked TSV Troester (#9) in Breitenguessbach in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosenheim will play on the road against Jena II and hope to win that game.
