Regular Season Round 3: Galatasaray - Besiktas 74-65

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Galatasaray (#10) and Besiktas (#8). Galatasaray (2-1) won against visiting Besiktas (1-2) 74-65. The best player for the winners was Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Greg Whittington (203-93, college: Georgetown) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Burak-Can Yildizli (202-94) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and American forward James-Michael McAdoo (206-93, college: UNC) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Besiktas' coach Dusko Ivanovic tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Galatasaray will face Afyon Bld (#13) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Besiktas will play at home against Bandirma and hope to win that game.
