Regular Season Round 2: Pinar Karsiyaka - TAC NEF 49-71

Very expected game when Pinar Karsiyaka (0-2) was smashed at home by TAC NEF (2-0) 71-49 on Saturday. TAC NEF dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Pinar Karsiyaka's 24. TAC NEF forced 20 Pinar Karsiyaka turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Berkay Civgin (-1) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Murat Guzelocak (-1) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four TAC NEF players scored in double figures. Sevket Gokdemir (-3) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and forward Haktan Yavas (201-4) added 11 points in the effort for Pinar Karsiyaka. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TAC NEF will face Besiktas in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pinar Karsiyaka will play at home against Gaziantep (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
