AD Vagos edged GDESSA at home 62-61. AD Vagos made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for AD Vagos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Joana Canastra (174-94) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. American guard Brandi Buie (173-96, college: Jacksonville) contributed with 18 points for the winners. AD Vagos' coach Joao Janeiro used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Ana Faustino (166-1) answered with 15 points and American center Merissa Quick (190-93, college: Emporia St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GDESSA. GDESSA will play next round against G.S.C. trying to get back on the winning streak. AD Vagos will try to continue on its current victory against CAB Madeira in Funchal.
