Regular Season Round 3: Chemnitz - Neuss 67-91

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of ChemCats Chemnitz (0-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by TG Neuss (2-1) 91-67. TG Neuss outrebounded ChemCats Chemnitz 41-27 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Briana Williams (170-92, college: Mercer) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Franziska Worthmann (178-86, college: RMU) helped adding 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four TG Neuss players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nicole Brochlitz with 19 points and international Lucile Peroche (174-98) scored 10 points and 5 steals. ChemCats Chemnitz's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. TG Neuss will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. ChemCats Chemnitz will play on the road against Krofdorf (#8) in Giessen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
