Regular Season Round 3: Bayreuth - Wuerzburg 79-88

Very expected game when BBC Bayreuth (0-3) was defeated at home by s Oliver Baskets (2-1) 88-79 on Sunday. s Oliver Baskets dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BBC Bayreuth's 22. s Oliver Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Armenian-American center Luke Fischer (211-94, college: Marquette) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Lukas Meisner (203-95, college: Columbia) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard James Robinson (190-94, college: Pittsburgh) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. s Oliver Baskets will face ALBA Berlin at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BBC Bayreuth will play against SC Rasta Vechta (#13) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
