Don Bosco Bamberg (3-0) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat Homburger TG (1-2) 71-64. Don Bosco Bamberg dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Homburger TG's 26. Don Bosco Bamberg forced 19 Homburger TG turnovers. It was a great evening for Victoria Waldner who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Czech point guard Renata Pudlakova (179-92) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Spanish forward Nerea Garmendia (181) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Quynne Huggins (180-97, college: UTRGV) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Homburger TG players scored in double figures. Don Bosco Bamberg will face Weiterstadt (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Homburger TG will play against Speyer / Schifferstadt and hope to win that game.
