Regular Season Round 3: Goettingen - Vechta 72-77

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when SC Rasta Vechta (1-3) defeated on the road BG Goettingen (0-3) 77-72 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Joshua Young (185-88, college: Drake) who scored 20 points. His fellow American import guard Ishmail Wainright (196-94, college: Baylor) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Bennet Hundt (178-98) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists and Belgian swingman Elias Lasisi (192-92) added 15 points respectively. Five SC Rasta Vechta and four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. SC Rasta Vechta will face BBC Bayreuth (#16) at home in the next round. BG Goettingen will play against Crailsheim Merlins where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
