Regular Season Round 3: ITU BB - Darussafaka 61-98

The game with biggest result difference took place in Istanbul. Local ITU BB (0-3) was outscored by Darussafaka (2-1) 98-61. Darussafaka shot 60.7 percent from the field. They also forced 19 ITU BB turnovers and outrebounded them 33-19 including 25 on the defensive glass. Darussafaka shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by ITU BB's players. It was a quality performance for American forward Bonzie Colson-Jr (196-96, college: Notre Dame) who led the winners and scored 26 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) accounted for 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Archie Goodwin (196-94, college: Kentucky, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 22 points and the former international point guard Mehmet Yagmur (188-87) added 5 points and 8 assists respectively for ITU BB in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka's next round opponent will be Gaziantep (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. ITU BB will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
