Regular Season Round 5: Stade - Bramsche TuS 71-75

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Bramsche TuS (2-3) beat on the road 9th ranked Stade (2-1) 75-71 on Sunday. Croatian power forward Sasha Cuic (208-83, college: Oregon St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Congolese forward Blanchard Obiango (202-88) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and point guard Maximilian Mayer (177-98) scored 14 points. Bramsche TuS moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with Wusterhausen. Loser Stade dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. Bramsche TuS will face higher ranked Goetting.ASC (#4) in Goettingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
