Oldenburg's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked SSV Lok Bernau (2-2) 77-68. Oldenburg forced 21 SSV Lok Bernau turnovers. American forward Jesse Kempson (201-96, college: Indianapolis) fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (194-96) chipped in 18 points. Kempson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Malte Delow (197-1) produced 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Croatian center Kresimir Nikic (213-99) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oldenburg (1-3) left bottom position moving up to ninth place in North, which they share with Dresden and Stahnsdorf. SSV Lok Bernau at the other side keeps the fifth position with two games lost. Oldenburg's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Sixers in Sandersdorf and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SSV Lok Bernau will play at home against the league's leader SG Schwelmer Baskets having rather not much hope for a victory.
