Regular Season Round 4: Amager - Randers 81-127

Date: October 18, 2019
The game between Top Four teams took place in Kastrup. 4th ranked host Amager BK (0-5) was smashed by second ranked Randers (6-1) 127-81. The game without a history. Randers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Amager BK's 50. Randers forced 22 Amager BK turnovers and outrebounded them 46-31 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Amager BK's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Chris Nielsen (193-85) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Brantley Bynum (196-94, college: San Francisco St.) who added 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Randers players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2) responded with 30 points and Australian power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Randers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-1 record having just four point less than leader Horsens IC. Newly promoted Amager BK still closes the standings with five games lost. Randers will face Naestved (#4) at home in the next round.
